Sarah Thorpe

Sarah is Chief of Staff to Chief Scientific Officer, Peter Campbell. She is a life sciences executive with over 15 years of experience spanning R&D, commercial strategy, and operations. With a career bridging science and business, Sarah brings deep expertise in delivering growth through operational excellence, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional leadership in multinational environments. 

She has held senior leadership roles at Abcam, including Director of Strategic Programmes and Director of Channel Strategy, where she led global transformation initiatives, scaled commercial operations, and built strategic partnerships across digital and distribution channels.

Sarah received her PhD in oncology from the University of Cambridge and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute.
